Start clearing out your schedule at the end of the month because it’s time for you and your buddies to head on to Coolum for an exciting and testosterone filled event.
For this year’s series, the Kellogg’s Nutri Grain Ironman will start its series at the gorgeous Coolum Beach Surf Club from November 28 and 20, 2015, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Witness some of your favourite Australian Ironmen and Ironwomen in action as they compete to win the prizes. Some of the big names to expect are Matt Pool, Shannon Eckstein, Caine Eckstein, Zane Holmes, Courtney Hancock, Ky Hurst, and Elizabeth Pluimers.
For this series, the first round will happen at the Coolum Beach Surf Club. With official start time at 11:30am to 12:30pm for the Ironwomen, and 1:30pm to 3:30pm for the Ironmen, the pursuit will be composed of three individual races for skiing, boarding, and swimming, and one full Ironman race.
The individual swim race will take place around the two board buoys, the individual board race around the ski buoys, while the individual ski race will be a loop around the ski buoys, then back in and around the board buoys, back out around ski bouys, and in again to the shore. The Full Ironman course will be run normally. The winner of these challenges will be those with the most accumulated points.
After the first round in Coolum, the next will be in New Castle Beach, NSW from December 19 to 20, 2015, and the final round will be in North Cronulla Beach NSW from January 16 to 17, 2016.
