Posted in Local Events @ Sep 12th 2015 1:30pm - By Administrator

To be or not to be, that is not quite a question anymore. Because this coming November 8, 6:30pm, and November 9, 10am, you can watch the play of William Shakespeare’s “The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark”, or simply “Hamlet”, and to come or not to come must not be a question for you anymore.

To be held at Noosa Arts Theatre, Shakespeare’s longest play and English literature’s most famous tragedy is set to take over the stage and relive this masterpiece for modern day people to see and appreciate.

Hamlet is to be brought to Noosa by Sonia Friedman Productions. And with over four hours length, it would seem like you’re transported back in time as each character and scene moves you with genuine acting and settings.

The story of Hamlet happens all the way from a kingdom in Denmark. It tells the story of Prince Hamlet who has to murder his uncle Claudius the way the latter killed the former’s father, King Hamlet. Claudius, after stealing the throne from King Hamlet, married this brother’s widow and Hamlet’s mother, Gertrude.

To be directed by Lyndsey Turner, witness how famous actor Benedict Cumberbatch from shows like BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game, and Frankenstein at the National Theatre, give life to the character of the main protagonist.

Grab your ticket now for this much anticipated play. The prices are $25 for adults, $15 for children 17 years and below, and $20 for members and concession.
